Life's Journey - What It Takes To Come Alive pt.2 Life is a journey. One's destination is unique to our hearts and lives in our souls. It is a state of the mind. A new way of seeing things. An altered perception. A notion of achievement. An idea of happiness. Our destination is never a place, nor are the things we want most really things at all. We take the journey. Our destiny is shaped in our moments of decision. As fate looks down upon us, we follow the roads of desire with home in our hearts and our hearts on our sleeves picking our paths, making new ones, searching until our destination sits in sight on the horizon. _{Pat on the back to those who visit my profile and read this. A lot of words tend to scare most people off...It's always been my goal to inspire others. I'm humbled that I have done so with my photography (again, your support means the world almost cracked 2100 watchers, 500,000 photo views woo!) but just maybe you can take something away from this.

I think I've had an epiphany .. the other night I was standing in a hectic mosh pit with my bro and sis supporting one of our fav. bands. Arms and feet flying everywhere. Strangers pushing, shoving, jumping on each other like maniacs! Couldn't breathe. Was glorious! Before the encore the band walked off and a voice come on over head. (all part of the act.) This band is big on love and life. What was said just turned this mad intense crowd of people ..silent. Everyone was just ..listening. In their own world for a brief moment. Was surreal. The words obviously resonated to many. One moment we all shared. Got me thinking about life, events, and myself as a person. To a further extent. How people can just walk in and out of your life. Leave you with memories that make you smile. Memories that make your heart sink. How we can develop as people through experience and observation. How under certain circumstances our true self is revealed. How our attitudes, values, morals shape our quality of life. And how love makes us weak and hardship strong.

Point is (there is a point I promise): Unless it is mad, passionate, extraordinary love, it\'s a waste of time. There are too many mediocre things in life - love should not be one of them. One life one chance. Wear your heart on your sleeve. Stick to your values every day in every situation. Be curious. Be spontaneous. Enjoy the small things. Appreciate them. Travel the world. Live in this very moment. Stay true to yourself. Do what you love, do it honestly. Chase your dreams. Stand strong on your own. Stand stronger with another. Believe in fate, believe that everything happens for a reason but also don't forget.. shit happens! can't control everything.. Yes there are some shit people in this world; lot of which who will do you wrong and hurt you. (a lot of amazing people that will inspire you and enrich your life too mind you. focus on them not the others). You can the better person every time. Don't drop to their level to meet them eye to eye. Stand taller. Give 100% to life, love, and people and a life without regret is what you will have. Our actions speak louder then words. Regardless, don't ever let these two things contradict each other. (<--- this is not what the band said ..I can't remember word for word what the band said .. this is just what they(among other things) helped me realise )

You will find (even in their own oblivion) most people don't practise what they preach. Even recently people who I'd thought to value respect. Value honesty and such things alike. Do not. They say(said) they do (they want to maybe?) but they prove this wrong through their actions. Their words don't mean anything. That was me once upon a time...somewhat!...as in, I've always had honest values and morals but now..after observing people I had once a lot of respect for prove themself different to who they made themselves out to be (and which I believed them to be) through actions (and in the process losing all respect I once had for them) my own values and morals have become so powerful and important as a result - oddly enough. I guess you could say ..by watching others fail at sticking to what they apparently believe in.. this has made me feel more strongly about what I believe in to the point now I've somehow grown into this new skin with a new outlook on life over the past month or so. And I'm rather proud. I'm excited for life, a new love, and my potential (as we all should be).

Sometimes you're forced to, sometimes you really don't want to (but it happens all on its own) regardless it's never easy 'getting over someone'. Forget time and 'space' the single most effective way this comes about comes as a result when they push you away (in many respects). Push you so far away they force you out of love with them. You start to question 1. whether this person is infact the person they made themself out to be and whom you fell for and 2. quite frankly why on earth you had feelings for them in the first place if this is them now demonstrating their true colours! (this is actually the second time this has happened to me. Falling out of love - never fun. First time happen by itself the 2nd time I had to make it happen..The love that once was will be remembered and treasured forever but! as it was, not as it may be now - no regrets ever. I'll keep the fond memories in the memory bank and save a smile for a rainy day and the rest will be put down as life experience). Being in love and loving someone can be two very different things sometimes. I don't think you ever stop loving someone...you Just learn to live without them..and you must learn this especially when the love is not mutual.. (lot of this is referring to a relationship suituation. Family is a different love. By god love your family regarless haha! our days are numbered on this earth )
But yes! I finally feel liberated after such a realisation and this is important because I can move on now. When people walk out of your life - it is always their loss. Maybe you do the same. Maybe not on purpose even. But just knowing that there is someone out there that feels the same as you, someone who will become your everything and who you will share a love so remarkable with that it changes your life forever makes life worth living. Love is life.

...Moving on! I do hope this attitude sticks around, I'm in a really good mindset at this point in time. Feeling inspired. Just going for life, doing things you normally wouldn't. And yes, normally I wouldn't write something like this. Only think it. But you know, there are a lot of people who don't sit back and reflect. Who don't make these realisations. Who can't (or won't) express themselves and therefore don't grown, develop, and learn at all. I'm not one of these people and not ashamed of it. In fact, I find this to be a very attractive quality and respect those who are like this. Doesn't hurt to think a little deeper every now and then. (for some, thinking at all is a good start aha!..) You will be surprised how much it can change your life and shape you're personality.

- That is all. mmm deep I know. It's not even the half of it! Only at this time of night can only hope it makes sense haha. Just my thoughts and opinions you're welcome to disagree just know I have no intentions to argue! life's too short to argue. Each to their own. Not going to edit this. This is how I feel on today when it was written, if it changes so be it! Time for bed! Going to wake up tomorrow and think...er, why did I write this?.. anywho.

Thanks for visiting! I'm fairly new to photography (self-taught) and have decided to give life back to my rather old; and slowly rusting, DA account and share some stuff starting 2011. Photography means a lot to me. Not only is it a great way to express yourself and capture a moment in time that will never exist again really.. To capture a feeling. An emotion. It is something else altogether. It is unique. No two images are the same! Natural lighting is what I prefer. Emotive portraits and natural landscapes are my fav.
I hope to one day(one day soon) be as talented as many of the stunning photographers here on Deviantart Currently doing real estate photography for work. Learning lots!

wooow!! seriously just WOW! I cannot believe how good your stuff is! It's so good it actually hurts! How the hell do you do it? You know you get some people who say "i wish there was a camera that could take a picture as good as the human eye can see"? well you've bettered it, by miles. Not only have you managed to capture what the eye sees but you've captured what the heart feels and the soul needs.
